The Bardowskis focused on microbiology
Microbiological products are considered an interesting alternative to conventional fertilizers or plant protection products. The abilities hidden in bacteria or fungi can be surprising. It is no wonder that an increasing number of farmers undertake experiments and test biological products in their own fields.
Among the producers looking for new solutions were also well-known agricultural YouTubers and influencers – Anna and Grzegorz Bardowscy, joined by Kula, Wojkep and Perqins. The experiment became an interesting campaign, which was called Challenge X. The challenge consisted of testing a product for a year, the name of which remained unknown. The farmers' goal was to observe how plants would react to the application of bacteria – until the harvest.

Microbiology Performance Reports
During the year of testing, Challenge X participants kept detailed reports showing how the mysterious bacteria affected crops. According to Grzegorz Bardowski's observations, the autumn application of the microbiological product stimulated the development of the root system and leaf rosette of rapeseed. In the cultivation of winter wheat, a greater intensity of tillering and an increase in the assimilation surface of leaves, as well as better root growth, was noted.
When applied in the spring, the bacteria improved photosynthesis efficiency and increased wheat resistance to periodic water shortages. Rapeseed, in turn, built more lateral branches and more pods. As a result, the Bardowski farm recorded a 1080-1570 kg higher wheat grain yield, depending on the bacterial product application variant. In the rapeseed crop, 280-390 kg more seeds were harvested.

Solving the puzzle
After a year of field testing, the secret of Challenge X has been revealed. Behind the experiments is BacterX, a microbiological product with bacteria that have the ability to fix nitrogen and make phosphorus available, and also act to stimulate plant growth and development.
