X5 Group analysts reported a significant increase in net retail sales of 25.1% compared to the same period last year. The report especially highlighted revenue growth in digital businesses, which amounted to 73.6%.
In the second quarter of 2024, X5 Group opened 582 new stores, including various formats – from supermarkets to discounters. Over the specified period of time, Chizhik’s revenue increased by 113.6% year-on-year, reaching 56.8 billion rubles (169 new stores were opened). Pyaterochka's net retail revenue increased by 22.7% year-on-year, amounting to 756.8 billion rubles. And Perekrestok’s revenue increased by 18.6% year-on-year, reaching 119.1 billion rubles.
Sales of X5 comparable stores (like-for-like, LfL) increased by 14.9% in the first half of the year, and also by 14.9% in the second quarter. The average check for six months increased by 11.6%, customer traffic – by 2.9%, in April – June the average check in comparable stores increased by 11.7%, LfL traffic – by 2.9%.
Revenue from X5 Group's digital businesses grew by 73.6% year-on-year, amounting to 46.9 billion rubles, which is 4.9% of the company's total net revenue. The growth rate of consolidated revenue increased by 1.8 percentage points.
