Increase in salaries at Dino. PLN 2,784.7 million in employee benefits costs
In 2023, employee benefit costs in Dino Polska increased by PLN 652.5 million, or 30.6%, to PLN 2,784.7 million. This increase resulted primarily from the increase in the number of employees due to the increased scale of the Dino Polska Group's operations and the related expansion of the store network and growing sales in existing stores (LfL) as well as from the increase in the average salary in the Dino Group.
Dino's Pay System
The remuneration system at Dino Polska includes fixed remuneration and variable remuneration resulting from the motivation system.
"The fixed salary, paid on a monthly basis, is set at a fair level that ensures employees at least a safe standard of living and the company's competitiveness on the labor market," the chain writes.
The motivational part comes in the form of a bonus. Store employees earn financial bonuses, the amount of which is a derivative of the sales plans realized by a given store and the level of product losses.
"The company ensures that each employee has equal access to professional development and receives the same remuneration for the same work performed. In the individual areas of the company's operations, there is a standardized basic salary grid, the same for women and men, eliminating the problem of the pay gap. Bonuses and awards are paid depending on the tasks completed and may differ between employees," reads Dino's report.

The company periodically organises a remuneration committee, which reviews the level of remuneration in individual positions and considers applications related to changes in the level of remuneration for individual positions.
"All employees of the Dino Group are offered the same non-wage benefits, regardless of the type of employment contract and working hours. As part of the aforementioned benefits, we offer the possibility of choosing life insurance, insurance for children, taking out a loan or purchasing sports passes on preferential terms, providing wide access to sports facilities and activities. In addition, employees of the Group and their family members can join a private medical care program on attractive terms. The program includes, among others, access to doctors of many specializations, treatments and tests, medical consultations, and reimbursement of the costs of tests and doctor visits." – it was reported.

Employees of the headquarters departments and field design offices work in a basic system, full-time, 8 hours a day and 40 hours in a five-day working week.
Employees with a moderate or significant degree of disability are subject to reduced working hours, up to 7 hours a day and 35 hours a week.
What is it like to work at Dino Polska?
All employees in Dino Polska stores and warehouses work in an equivalent work system, in which working time cannot exceed 8 hours per day with the possibility of extending to 12 hours, and 40 hours per week in a five-day work week. Employees work according to an individually established work schedule, prepared for a calendar month.
The basic form of employment is full-time employment. The vast majority of employees, both women and men, are employed full-time.
We also offer the possibility of part-time work, especially for people taking care of a small child and people with disabilities. A total of 2,355 employees of the Dino Group used this form of employment at the end of 2023.
– In exceptional situations, we agree to employment based on a civil law contract. At the end of 2023, we worked with 219 people employed on the basis of civil law contracts – the network reported.
