In response to customer requests, technology venture Wolt has improved the functionality of the platform, allowing orders from two nearby restaurants or stores to be delivered in one delivery. Initially, the new feature will be available to 10% of platform users, gradually offering it to an increasing number of customers, the company said. Platform users in all Baltic countries will now be able to save both time and money by combining two purchases from different merchants in one delivery. For example, when placing an order from a restaurant, you can now purchase the necessary goods at the grocery store. You can also make two purchases at various nearby stores, pharmacies and other businesses. Both orders will be combined into one shipment, and the buyer will pay only one delivery. Wolt is the first express delivery platform in the Baltics to offer such a solution. As Mantas Lomsargis, head of Wolt in the Baltics, points out, the request to combine orders into one delivery has long been made by users of the platform, so the introduction of a new solution is a logical continuation of the development of the platform. “Our goal has always been to become a shopping destination for everyone, and with this new decision we are one step closer to achieving this goal,” he said. To ensure smooth operation of the new feature, it will initially be offered to 10% of Wolt platform users. As Lomsargis explains, gradual implementation will help both courier partners to master the new solution and make the necessary improvements, gradually adjusting the service and offering it to an increasing number of platform users. The new feature is expected to be available to all Wolt platform users in the coming months. How the new Wolt solution will work:
