In total, over the five months of 2024, the WOG filling station network transferred UAH 5.82 billion to budgets of all levels. Of these, UAH 797.25 million are taxes on operating activities* and UAH 5.023 billion are taxes on imports.
If we translate the above-mentioned volume of taxes paid, then for each liter of fuel sold in the WOG network, 1.9 UAH of operating taxes were paid. “Big business comes with big responsibility. In particular, responsibility for paying taxes that form the revenue side of the budget and go to finance the army. A few years ago, only a few companies publicly reported on the amount of taxes paid; now this has become an unwritten standard. More and more large companies, both manufacturing and especially in the retail segment, are reporting publicly and openly. More than 2 million UAH of operating taxes were paid by each operating filling station of the WOG network in five months – this is a more than eloquent argument,” emphasized Mykola Tsirkun , financial director of the WOG filling station network.
Personnel taxes for January-May 2024 amounted to more than UAH 290.4 million, which is 61% more than the same period in 2023. This amount includes the single social contribution (USC), personal income tax (NDFL) and military duty.
Loyalty to brands is no longer measured by discounts or bonuses; in fact, it is a dialogue between the brand and customers at the level of values. When choosing a network, the client consciously pays attention to the public position of the business: what taxes it pays or pays a voluntary tax to finance initiatives aimed at supporting the Defense Forces.
“Companies and brands in people’s minds have become divided according to the principle of “friend or foe,” which has become almost more important than network brand recognition. The “own” category includes responsible businesses that not only declare state support, but back it up with specific millions and billions of hryvnia allocated to the budget and support of the Defense Forces,” said Gennady Karlinsky, marketing director of the WOG gas station network.
Thus, in 2024 alone, WOG, together with partners, implemented a number of projects that made it possible to provide the military with more than 1 million chemical heating pads, accumulate 2 million UAH in support of the children of fallen defenders, purchase and transfer to the Defense Forces 371 FPV drones, 15 sniper complexes, 19 complexes of domestic Ares UAVs, and together with the Pride community, the company donated UAH 5.8 million for the purchase of electronic warfare for National Guard units. Currently, WOG, together with PrivatBank and the Sergei Pritula Charitable Foundation, is implementing the project “WOG for help. We are assembling a squad of robots,” the goal of which is to assemble a combat “detachment of robots” from 60 robotic turrets “ShaBlya” and unmanned platforms “Lynx”, worth UAH 50 million to protect the lives of the military.
