WIR has made calculations for rapeseed cultivation. What are the results?

It turns out that according to the calculations of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Agriculture in rapeseed cultivation (as of July 2024) we will come out ahead. The financial result, i.e. the difference between revenue and costs amounted to PLN 446 in their calculations.

The exact breakdown of costs is recorded in the table below. But it shows that the total costs were estimated at PLN 7,541. In turn, revenues were PLN 7,987.

We remind you that last year, also for WIR, but taking into account calculations from June 2023, we also provided calculations for rapeseed cultivation. How did it turn out then?

Cultivation costs higher than revenues? WIR calculations

At that time, costs were higher than revenue. According to WIR data, costs were at the level of PLN 8,194, and revenue per hectare at the price per dt of PLN 182 was PLN 6,927.

So in 2024, first of all, the comparison took into account the higher price for the raw material sold, because it was almost PLN 2,000 per ton. Secondly, the financial result came out positive. Do you agree with these calculations?
