Who will benefit from a small wind farm in 2024?

The "My wind farm" program is addressed to natural persons – owners or co-owners of single-family houses or a building or residential premises.

Beneficiaries of the new "My wind farm" program will be able to produce electricity only for their own needs, i.e. for self-consumption.

– The "My wind farm" program applies to natural persons who are owners or co-owners of residential buildings. According to its assumptions, the total height of the mast and windmill (from
base to the highest point) cannot exceed 30 m. The power of the wind turbine should not exceed 20 kW and – what is very important – the electricity should be produced for own needs. This means that in most potential locations only installations connected to energy storage will make sense – emphasizes Mariusz Kostrzewa, president of Zeneris Projekty.

The program is to be implemented until 2029, and its initial budget will not exceed PLN 400 million. Agreements with beneficiaries will be concluded until the end of 2028. It is not known how much the maximum pool of funds for co-financing for home windmills and energy storage facilities will be in the first call for applications under the "My wind farm" program.

However, it is known how much the subsidies for the purchase and installation of home windmills and energy storage units will amount to.

What subsidies and requirements for home windmills and energy storage in 2024?
The grant will cover up to 50%. eligible costs and will amount to PLN 30,000. PLN for one wind micro-installation with an installed capacity of not less than 1 kW and not more than 20 kW, but not more than 5 thousand. PLN per 1 kW.

Subsidies from the "My wind farm" program will be available not only for the purchase and installation of a home wind farm, but also for energy storage.
