In the state of Wyoming, in the western part of the United States, the Antlers ranch is up for sale, near the town of Meeteetse and the famous Yellowstone National Park. The 16,000-hectare farm can be purchased for $85 million, or about €76 million, reports Agrarheute for the American real estate agency Latham Jenkins.

This offer is already stirring excitement among farmers all over the world. And it's all thanks to the popular Netflix series "Yellowstone". Because who wouldn't want to feel like John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. The Antlers Ranch is just 65 kilometers from the borders of the famous reserve. The vast spaces and landscapes are breathtaking.

Hay sold on the stand

The farm for sale consists of 7,000 ha of own land and over 9,000 ha of leased land. The area is mainly meadows and pastures, but there are also large forests, a river and water reservoirs. The sale of hay is one of the sources of income. Hay is collected here on over 480 hectares. On average, 5 tons of hay are collected from 1 hectare, and two cuts are made during the season. There is a place to store hay, but it is usually sold "on the stand", as 100% ecological feed.

Buffalo and hunting

On the farm grounds, a herd of almost 700 bison is also bred in almost natural conditions. The income from their sale and organizing hunts for hunters is the main profile of the business. On the farm grounds, you can also shoot elk and deer. The bison calve on their own and even in winter they find their own food. Caring for the herd does not require much daily work. Bison calves are weaned from their mothers in the fall and sold.

Many sources of income

But that's not all. The owner of the Antlers ranch will also earn money from fish farming and making the reservoirs available to anglers. In addition, there is a concession for gravel and mineral extraction to be taken over. The future owner will have at his disposal two houses for the family, and three buildings with rooms for employees and for rent to hunters and anglers.
