It was hard to count on a different ending to yesterday's auction. The result could have been predicted, for example, by analyzing Tuesday's auction at the ISW exchange, during which, despite the low supply of animals, only two out of six batches of animals were sold.
Yesterday’s auction on VEZG ended with the rate set on 7 August being maintained, i.e. EUR 2.00 per kilogram of fattened pig with a meat content of 57%.
Converted to domestic currency (according to yesterday's euro exchange rate: 1 EUR=4.29), it is PLN 8.58 net per kilogram. We are also observing an identical rate on the domestic market. According to Tuesday's survey, a fattened pig in class E currently costs PLN 8.59 net per kilogram. Livestock, on the other hand, is valued at an average of PLN 6.61 net per kilogram. In both cases, the average purchase prices are identical to those of a week ago.
