Market wheat

Supplies increased by 0.4 million ton to 1.061 billion ton, because the higher production in Syria and Pakistan with a reduction in Uruguay. World production of wheat is expected to reach 793.2 million tons.

Global consumption declined by 0.6 million ton to 801.9 million ton, mainly due to reductions in Turkey, partially compensated by Ukraine.

World trade declined by 1.7 million ton to 212.0 million ton due to reduced exports from Russia and Ukraine. Russia’s exports are projected at 46.0 million tons, which is a decrease by 1,0 million ton in comparison with the previous month and significantly below the year record of 55.5 million ton.

Projected global final stocks in the season 2024/2025 increased in January by 0.9 million ton to 258.8 million ton, primarily because of increases in Russia, Brazil, Nigeria and in Ukraine, which with a reduction in Turkey, China and Indonesia.

Market feed cereals

Global production of feed cereals for the 2024/2025 season is suppressed by 4.8 million ton to 1.494 billion. Projected to lower by 3.6 million tons of corn production, but with increases in China, Ghana and Russia. Production of corn in China has increased to a record of 294.9 million tons. Based on the latest information from Rosstat corn is also to be more in Russia.

Main changes in global trade of grain feed in the season 2024/2025 include lower exports of corn from the US and Brazil. More import currency for Turkey, but less for China, South

Korea and Japan.

Global stocks of corn, which amounted to 293.3 million tons, declined by 3.1 million.
