The Ambassador noted that economic security no less important than military security, and Latvia is now doing a lot to improve security. Latvia also pays attention to military security, cyber threats, and information threats. Latvia is also one of the leaders in the fight against disinformation. "Latvia is ready for today's and tomorrow's challenges, so yes, Latvia is a safe place to invest," Robinson said. In particular, the US Ambassador to Latvia emphasized that the Latvian energy sector is a good environment for investment, and Latvia can be an exporter of green energy to the European Union. Robinson also praised the planned disconnection from the Russian-controlled BRELL circle next February. Latvian Minister of Economy Viktors Valainis (SZK) mentioned that in the next years it is planned to significantly increase the size of the Latvian economy, so we need to work hard and think about how we attract investments, including in the energy sector. The minister also added that with the disconnection from BRELL next year, Latvia is moving towards energy independence.
