The Ministry announces aid
Work is underway to introduce regulations governing the general conditions for granting aid to agricultural producers whose farms suffered damage to crops caused by hail, heavy rain, spring frosts and hurricanes in 2024 within the meaning of the regulations on insurance of agricultural crops and farm animals, informed the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski.

Up to PLN 3,000 per hectare
According to the ministry, aid rates will vary depending on the amount of damage and will range from PLN 3,000 to PLN 1,000/ha. However, they may be reduced depending on the area affected by losses.
The amount of aid will be determined as the product of the area of cultivation on which, in accordance with the damage assessment protocol, damage occurred and the aid rates – adds Siekierski. – It is planned to allocate over PLN 200 million for the implementation of this aid, in the event that the submitted applications show that the demand for aid exceeds the total planned amount, a correction coefficient is applied to calculate the amount of aid.
As the minister emphasised, however, there is no need to worry about applying the correction coefficient, as there are funds in the budget for this purpose.
