The Department of Competition began verifying the economic reasonableness of the new ampere rates which will be in force february 1, introduced by network Imatra Elekter AS. For this, the department directed the company
to request to provide clarifying data.
The network company Imatra Elekter AS, operating in the county of Viimsi and the county of Läänemaa, reported in early January, that february 1 2025 of the ampere rates, unchanged for the last four years, will be increased. The cost of one ampere, which is used to calculate the payment for connection to the grid, increase of the power of the fuse or changes of the conditions of connection, will>increase from 92.72 euros to 315.36 euros, that is, by 240 percent.
In Different from network tariffs, which according to part part 1 of article 73 of the Law on the electricity market must be pre-agreed with the Department of competition, current legislation does not requireagreementofthepaymentforconnection.Departmentdoesagreethemethodologyfortheircalculationandhasthe righttoverifyafter-the-factthatthespecificconnectionfeesarecompliantwiththecurrentlegislationandсогласованнойметодике.
