Uniqlo has named British designer Clare Waight Keller as its new creative director, who was previously appointed as the brand’s designer of the Uniqlo: C collection, last September.
While continuing with her work on Uniqlo: C, Keller is set to lead Uniqlo’s mainline collection, including menswear, from this fall/winter season.
The new CMO is known for taking high fashion houses around the world to critical acclaim under her leadership, according to the retailer, and was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time 100 in 2019.
She has previously served as the artistic director for various luxury fashion brands, including Chloé and Givenchy.
