Ukraine is increasing the volume of exports of dairy products, in particular to European Union countries, which was discussed by Olena Dadus, head of the Department of Breeding and Breeding, Department of Agricultural Development, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, during the Milk Forum 2024 conference.
According to her, over 90 percent milk sent for processing is produced by agricultural enterprises. At the same time, the quality of "extra" class milk has also increased and it accounts for over 40%. processed milk.
This was influenced by the fact that there were opportunities to increase exports of dairy products, in particular to European Union countries. Ukrainian enterprises – exporters must meet quality criteria for finished products and raw materials. Therefore, the issue of adapting Ukrainian legislation in the dairy industry to EU requirements is urgent, Dadus said.
