
As reports the Ukrainian portal Elevatorist, the General Prosecutor’s Office has brought to the court an indictment against two men, who impersonated the state officials and extorted money from landlords and owners of farms.
Two residents of Kiev called the affected and promised help in obtaining grants from foreign aid programs. They claimed, that they are employees of offices, which verify applications. In exchange for help in writing the application, which will be positively reviewed they demanded commission.
The bribes were transferred to private accounts of deceivers, and they paid immediately the cash. Then for some time they deceived “customers”, explaining delays with different difficulties with “pushing through” the application, and finally the contact had come together.
Police finally took the crooks and they went into arrest. Both were turned out to be recidivists. Investigators
determined, that they had already deceived fraud from agricultural entrepreneurs over 3 millions of hryvnia.
