The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy summarized the export results for the 2023/24 marketing year, which officially ended on June 30. It turns out that the exports of processing increased the most. The ministry reported that in the ended financial year, Ukrainian exporters sold abroad a total of 69.86 million tons of goods in the categories of grain, oilseeds and vegetable oils – we read in Latifundist.
In the case of cereals, wheat exports amounted to 18.43 million tons, which is 9% more than a year earlier. Corn was sold 29.41 million tons, i.e. 0.2% more. However, barley exports dropped by 8.5% – to 2.48 million tons, and soybean sales dropped by 8.2% – to 2.98 million tons. Sales of rapeseed abroad increased to 3.7 million tons (+8.7%).
However, the most spectacular increases in exports were recorded in the case of products from the processing of agricultural produce. The export volume of sunflower oil reached 6.54 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 22.8%.
The export of sunflower meal reached 5.15 million tons and is higher by as much as 29.1%, and
soybean meal exports amounted to 0.662 million tons, an increase of 12.5%.
