
The largest importers of Russian grain
During the year, Türkiye purchased 8.9 million tons of grain compared to 12.6 million tons in the previous season. In second place is Egypt, which purchased 8.7 million tons compared to 8.1 million tons in the previous season. Rounding out the TOP-3 is Iran, which increased imports to 7 million tons from 6.4 million tons.
The top five also included Saudi Arabia, whose exports to the country increased to 4.5 million tons from 3.2 million tons before the season, and Bangladesh – 3.8 million tons compared to 1.6 million tons.
The largest recipients of Russian wheat
According to Rusagrotrans, the largest recipient of Russian wheat last season was Egypt, with almost 8.6 million tons compared to 8.1 million tons a year earlier. This volume approximately corresponds to the record value from 2017/18. Second-placed Turkey reduced imports to 7 million tonnes from 9.2 million tonnes last season. The Bangladesh market (ends TOP-3) received a historically record volume of Russian wheat – 3.8 million tons against 1.6 million tons.
