Senate in favor of postponing the start of the bail system to January 1, 2026 .
– The amendment adopted by the Polish Senate introduces a postponement of the launch of the bail system to January 1, 2026. The aforementioned change takes into account the demand made by our industry and gives us additional time to prepare the operation of the bail system in a reliable manner, with particular attention to its friendliness and universality in terms of serving consumers, explains Maciej Ptaszynski, President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce.
The bail system should not be introduced during the holiday season
Renata Juszkiewicz, President of the Polish Trade and Distribution Organization, stresses that postponing the launch of the bail system is the right step that will allow the industry to prepare properly.
– Setting the start of the bail system for January 1, 2026 is essential for the trade so that we can prepare educational campaigns aimed at consumers, as well as sign agreements between operators and about 80,000 stores. As for the operators, this time will allow them to organize a logistics system and a financial and waste settlement system among themselves. It is also very important for the trade that the deposit system is not introduced during the holiday season, which is the most stressful time of the year for our employees and companies,” adds President of the Polish Trade and Distribution Organization Renata Juszkiewicz.
