X (formerly Twitter) accuses Mars, Unilever and several other companies of… conspiring against the platform, allegedly violating US competition laws. Companies associated with the alliance want to make sure that their ads will not be displayed next to content that potentially incites hatred, racism or extremism, which is why they turned away from Twitter and, for a time, also Facebook. However, Musk has described the boycott as "systematic," which is why his X platform is now demanding that companies refund billions in lost advertising revenue.

However, the chances of X winning are slim. What's more, Musk's companies are losing more and more supporters: 47 German companies, including Aldi Nord and online store Otto, recently withdrew from the former Twitter, accusing the website of disinformation and hate speech.

Moreover, the German drugstore chain Rossmann banned the use of Tesla from its corporate fleet (34 cars out of approximately 800) due to Musk's numerous statements supporting Trump and opposing the Woke movement.
