In summer, tourists increasingly come to Scandinavian countries. They are looking for an alternative to the Mediterranean and countries with a cooler climate, but Estonia remains virtually unexplored .
Temperatures soared above 40 in southern Europe in June. Next week in Malaga on the Mediterranean coast it will be "only" 36 degrees, in Rome 37 and in Athens 38. Greece is also at high risk of wildfires, which last year covered most of the island of Rhodes.
Therefore, vacationers are increasingly heading to Scandinavian countries to escape the deadly heat. In 2023, the number of overnight stays by international travelers increased by 22% in Norway and 11% in Sweden.
