“Ticket sales for cultural events are generally going well this summer, but beyond festivals there has been a particularly noticeable increase in the number of events related to wellbeing, self-development and spirituality. In addition to concerts, performances and parties, tickets are increasingly being purchased for events related to spirituality – these are, for example, cocoa and tea ceremonies, ceremonies, liberating breathing, meditation, fasting events, as well as yoga and tantra camps; these events often sell out in advance. Along with theater and music, self-development has become a strong competitor in terms of spending free time; spirituality has become mainstream in Estonia,” said Lasseron.
He added that Estonians' interest in self-development has increased sharply in recent years. “For example, at Fienta, the number of events related to spirituality presented has grown more than fivefold over the past four years, and this growth continues. Based on the results of the first half of this year, we can say that a new record will definitely be set,” Lasseron said.
“If previously such events were organized for one’s own company and immediate circle, now tickets are sold publicly. There are better technical possibilities for this than before; Previously, ticketing conditions were aimed mainly at large organizers, but now it has become quite easy for smaller ones, which has increased distribution,” Lasseron said.
Number of events related to spirituality for which tickets were sold in the Fienta environment:
2020: 228
2021: 326
2022: 654
2023: 1173
2024 (first half): 766
