As reported by Agrarheute, an unexplained explosion occurred at a solar farm on former military land in Osterode, Lower Saxony, Germany, injuring three men.
According to initial police findings, workers noticed smoke coming from the room where the transformer and energy storage were located. When three men entered the building to look for the cause of the smoke, an explosion occurred.
The men suffered serious burns and injuries. Rescuers transported the injured by helicopter to specialist clinics. Emergency services temporarily evacuated residents of the immediate area. Police secured the scene. The rescue operation involved 100 firefighters, police officers and rescue workers. An investigation is underway to explain the causes of the explosion.
