Bank of America believes that the S&P500 index has already reached its highest level of the year. However, bank representatives still see opportunities for investors to achieve significant returns, according to Bloomberg.

Bank of America maintained its forecast that the S&P 500 will be around 5,400 at the end of this year. Currently, the value of the index is 5446.68 points.

Savita Subramanian, head of U.S. equity market and quant strategy at Bank of America, points out that investors still have the opportunity to get high returns from select investments, including: companies in the infrastructure, construction and industrial manufacturing segments outside of AI.

She also stressed that while Bank of America strategists don't see the S&P 500 rising much by the end of the year, a full-blown bear market is also "unlikely."

One of the main indices of the American stock market, the so-called broad S&P500, has grown by more than fourteen percent since the beginning of this year. From the peak reached in mid-July, ie 5669.67 points, it has already adjusted by almost four percent.
