German start-up failed to cope with market difficulties

The German portal merkur.de writes that the electric car market is in deep crisis. This now also applies to charging station suppliers. Numbat, which was one of the most promising German start-ups just a few months ago, may not survive. In August of this year, the company was forced to file for bankruptcy.

"We have made every effort to get the company back on track, but due to the market situation and technical challenges, this could not be achieved," said co-founder and managing director Martin Schall. "It is no longer possible to continue operating Numbat GmbH in the planned form," he added.

On 9 August 2024, the Kempten District Court established a provisional insolvency administration for the company.

The company failed to cope with market difficulties. It was explained that one of the main reasons for the company was the unexpectedly slow adaptation of the market to new technological solutions and delays in obtaining building permits.
