– In 2023, the costs of materials and packaging increased significantly. The prices of beef, poultry, potatoes, buns, cheese and lettuce are of significant importance for the company's profitability. In 2023, the price of poultry and cheese was about 8% higher, and the price of buns about 7% and fries about 23% higher than the average prices of these materials in 2022. In total, the weighted average increase in material costs in 2023 amounted to about 13%. Additionally, a significant increase in the minimum wage and the energy crisis had a significant impact on margin levels. Despite cost pressure, thanks to very good sales, supported by the pricing policy resulting from the position and trust in the brand, McDonald's Polska sp. z o. o. achieved a net profit of 444.5 million and was 16% higher than in the previous year – wrote the company's management.
