“Black list of animal organizations” is a created in social media profile, whose purpose is to expose pathological activities conducted by some organizations of animals. There are a whole group of different many “foundations”, which have set as the purpose of their activities to take animals away from owners, dependently on this, whether there are suggestions for this, or not. It is for they are good and quite a light piece of bread. It is enough for foundations on their websites on the internet to describe less or more true examples of some abuse of animals, they covered this often with out of context photos, and unsuspecting of any fraud donors hopefully gave the foundation donations. And so from gouging on the emotions of the society some organizations have created totally additional business.
I despite that owners of animals have no obligation, to allow activists in their own residences, or properties, this ignorance, good will and naivety of those owners may cause their major problems, especially that the current law in no way protects animal owners, a planned changes in regulations on the protection of animals the situation may only worsen.
Sam the author of the profile wants to remain anonymous – as has told us, he has already experienced on his own skin aggressive actions from the commissioned organizations (with hiring a detective including). We don’t publish then his data. Nevertheless his words may take the average reader at least to shudder.
What events or experiences have conducted you to found the “Black List of Animal Organizations”?
As this would happen…. maybe yes: for a long time, for a long time that I was convinced, that all organizations concerned with animals are acting from sincere reasons and they are driven only their willingness to help. And I also wanted to get involved. I recorded with a friend even video from the shelter. Type “don’t buy – adopt”. And, that friend spent a lot of time on assembly recording, that I wanted as many people as possible to see it.
I so spammed the link to places related to animals, that I got into a group, in which there was a large discussion. Till today I remember even the name of that group. It sounded, less more, “old boxer Diana in hands of Foundation SOS Boxers”. The description was in that losses .older dog and his equal age owner, which the foundation decided to unite.
Initially I didn’t believe this. Because after all these foundations help. Why why would any one do to the human and his dog? No and I guess that shocked me so much. That for people who are “pro-animal” the human bond with the dog may mean so little. That may be so cynically play the people on their emotions, if they put on their self. Then I also promised them, that either they would give the dog to its owner, or I would not give it back. The dog was not returned. He died somewhere in a shed, in some no hotel for animals. Soon after the owner of the dog died. And I think I am quite wordless, because after 9 years I still have not done any of this foundation, and an other, its like.
Apparently at one time you were a staunch opponent of hunting and hunters, but now your views have changed?
Yes, if you did detailedly interview the archives of TVN, you would even find photos of my authorship, from reporting – let’s call that – anti-hunting. While this “staunch opposition” resulted from lack of knowledge or ignorance, a not some personal experience. In total that moment I didn’t have any continuity with hunting, in any form. And the change in thinking occurred in even in an instant. In a conversation with a girlfriend. When I bragged about, that I had succeeded in humoring the humor of the girlfriend, she asked, whether I feel hypocritical. In finally I had eaten the pork loin, and I had pretensions about that someone hunted the wild boar. I still explain that there is some sympathy for animals, when my schab had traveled in the cage of a thousand kilometer, that in an other cage would become utilized, and finally get a metal bar in the head and land on the shelf in the market. The wild boar at that time was running around the forest.
Then I went from negative attitude to neutral. Because such as hypocritical, but hypocritical I wouldn’t want to be in any sense. The next step of this change in thinking was after seeing the dog, who had been attacked by a wild on the neighborhood walk. And this was in a place, where no feral had never been, and the same walk had served us as a walking place.
Who frequently seeks from you help and what scale can we talk in the area of Poland?
I guess there is no rule of “who”. Statistically probably.More often there are people not too rich, having different life problems or less ability to defend themselves. But and there are some those who have no money, are experts in their fields or occupy very important positions. Because to fall victim of the wagons of pseudo-activists is very easy. Sometimes it is enough that someone has a dog from the garden, and pseudo animal lovers already have told their narrative, that they have been thrown out of the car or starved.
The scale, with which I have direct contact, is a few people weekly, why I run a niche website on the Internet. there is no opportunity, that I would know about half of the unlawful slaughter of animals or other conflicts on the line of the common dog – organization for animals.
For a long time I already don’t even publicly describe these issues, because we would run out of time. I limit myself to explaining, how these specific rules work, helping in drafting any writing or mediating yes, so that at the end all – with the animal including – will be satisfied. And sometimes it succeeds, and that gives satisfaction.
What cases does you meet most often? How does the scheme of activity of pseudo-propagation organizations look like?
The most common incident is “they took my dog (or that cat), and now they are lying about this issue on the Internet, to grab money.” With why, that does not sound bad: I do refer to all organizations in the country. Many of these do a excellent job. Most self see, what problems are going to this environment, only reclaim they no longer can. And I am talking only to those, who have already forgotten, what social activity is about, charity or animal activities, about those that have converted to petbusiness.
The scheme is beautifully simple. All it takes is the right photograph accompanied by a blood-chilling in the veins story. To this add the account number for payments and the cash flies. If at an opportunity to make someone a “torturer”, then the cash is far more, and after time it becomes that the truth was completely different – for example. “the bloody cat” was characterized with pure tomato, to squeeze more money from donors, or that the “starved dog” was usually sick, and under the care of some veterinarians, but then that already no one is interested. Owners of animals, seeing under their s.gate a group of young people in uniform resembling police, with the cab, a flashlight and a surveillance camera, they are convinced that they have just been visited by actual state services. I guided they around their houses, and showed their documents and allowed they took their animals. And then they are surprised, that the cluttered room, in which not even had any animals, is shown on the Internet as a “den.” Their version on waiting will not prove, because the documents they have given away, and the animal will no longer be seen by any person on the other side. And then write to me…
Why don’t want to disclose your names and names. After all that what you do, is an extremely honest purpose?
To speak with open face against some of those organizations would be extremely naive. In the delicate version they can turn someone’s life into hell only by using the Internet, snarking their fans on the designated person.
Then they start making phone calls to relatives, employers and actually all places, with which the person criticizing they have something in common. There have also been incidents of posters around the residence of a person unfriendly activists and attempts to influence the school, where their children study.
In the version of medium we are talking about pulling through the courts in every country. In finally having a staffed lawyer and counted in millions of budget may make someone make practically live in the courts. Even if he spends the last money on defense, and this finally is effective, the person milled by this system will be ruined. Because, I have worked through this already. I was interrogated in some different – very far from yourself – cities, my apartment was searched by prosecutors, it was reported, that I possessed some drugs, even hired a private detective, to follow me . Well and there is an version heavy, where there are break-ins and beatings. These are of course reported, but finally it appears that the activists only wanted to save some animal. And that there was no there? No after any body can make a mistake. I battle the guy on his own yard, and his daughter send to hospital by burning her with gas. As someone is protected by the media and part of the political class, there is almost everything that happens to him. But may and that will sometimes end, because the issue will come to an end,Which I think has just returned to prosecution. After 3 years….
I guess exceptionally they must not like some organizations, since they hired a private detective, to find your location.
But that was a long time ago. Today I think they are already used to my presence or have reconciled to that it is not so easy to make silent. In every time I hired a private detective, that would follow me around Silesia. Funnily it came out, because at that I lived in the second end of Poland. It doesn’t need to be a master of geography, to know, that the target had the detective trouble set. I read, what he reported on my topic, and I notified the prosecutor’s office of false statements. And it is a pity, that the criminal code does not provide for such as “comedy statements”, because only in categories of joke could be considered. Mr. Detective happened to see me in a city, in which even had not been. Beside a black mercedes, which may have belonged to closer lobbyists. Unfortunately, we have not found out, what the cars of lobbyists look like. No and then talked with my unnamed friend. In a town, in which I have not lived for, lightly counting, 15 years. This anonymous acquaintance had told the detective, that I was selling drugs. The truth in this was none, but it allowed this to some organizations for whole years to suggest theory about my issue. I may be on health – I have discussed your detective and still keep in the drawer. In finally confessed who, where and when had employed him, and I am not sure, whether tracing an accidental internaut is a statutory purpose related to protection of animals.
It appears that these activities are inconsistent with the law or at its limit. Can the affected count on help from the state authorities?
No they can. Person accused by some organization of bad treatment of animals, even though I don’t know how ridiculous the accusation was, in nine in ten cases they won’t get help from anyone. Sometimes officials, because they as first have contact with a issue, try to help. But and then they quickly run out of willingness, when they look, with what they are dealing. As want, we can do an experiment. Name all possible “organs of state”, which come to the thought in this context, and I will respond. Because after I have already reported.Various issues to their all, multiple times.
This lack in the laws is that if today I take the dog from your possession, under your absence (because I know, that you are armed and I will not risk direct confrontation), I will submit appropriate notices of abuse over this dog, that…. you will not do anything. First you will have to defend your defense will take a minimum year. Probably more, two or three years. And only then will you be able to seek the favor of state authorities. Only after that time will your dog be already dead. Or “will run away to an anonymous volunteer on a walk”. Or will be in a temporary home in Germany, whose address of course I will not give. Or the court, in which you will seek justice, that the dog has no material value, and there has been appropriated. No and there is no thing to change the new place of residence, because he has certainly got used to a new home. This is is perpetual mobile impunity.
How generally do people react to taking their animals? Have you encountered a situation, when the person, who had the animal taken away, needed psychological help ?
Most are in shock. Not so long long resident of Warsaw gave his healthy and well cared dog to activists, because they told him that they would take it to the veterinarian for check. No and already with the dog not returned. Some fight for long years for recovery of animals or at least some justice, only this is a very difficult fight. Activists get before the court, and there it turns out that they “wanted good.” I don’t know, whether this is the appropriate place to describe specific cases, when someone needed psychological help, but yes, it happened .
One boy had attempted suicide, unfortunately unsuccessfully. Similarly an older guy from Lower Silesia, after the failed attempt took to hospital. I don’t know, whether he had already left. But when he leaves, then he will learn, that he does not have any animals anymore. Even the goat and the goose they took away from him. Another girl until today has not gathered, though it has been long years.
Purpose I don’t give details, about which issues it’s about, because probably no one wants that . I can for this tell, that the district prosecutor’s office in Swidnica has about this complete knowledge and complete documents.
Whether you can tell about this is.Some specific incident, which particularly has fell in my memory?
other than those, about which I have already mentioned? No surely. Many. Basically, as I start now replacing, we will finish, because it goes in hundreds. And each story, is a drama. Only these does not fall in memory more or less, because they are also important. For certain stories, when someone had one animal, which was unlawfully taken from them, they are harder than for people owning whole farms or animals. Then this tie of humans to animals is also slightly different. Not having obviously breeders. One breeding woman ran a hotel for dogs. She had one dog under care, who was sick. The dog had lost weight, about which the actual owner was on recent information. Commonly with she was considered to be involved with food allergy and combined with changing the nutrition of the dog. In the hotel there was also a dog of activists. They made an “intervention” and took all the animals from the hotel. No good, not all, only those breed – mongrels they left behind. Activists agreed that that the skinny dog was conforming, that he was lying on the ground, shaking with cold and had no power to lift head. The breeder was convicted in the case of this one dog. Already after her conviction on the phenomenon came out the recording authored by one of the activists, on which it can be seen, that all they lied. They have also leaked the records of the conversations on the chat, where they agreed to discuss and hinder the proceedings on this matter. Where did they have a quarrel between them and one changed the front. And maybe their conscience moved – hard to assess. Only this is already after the fact, after the legal conviction.
Still there is a second case against the breeder. For the alleged neglect of other dogs. And there appears a political issue. Because this case has already been double, that is, legitimately, revoked. The Court upheld the remission, which determined no guilt of the breeder. Two expert judicial doctors veterinarians – both to the benefit of the breeder have submitted their opinions. Even in this pathological system, where you prove your innocence, this should close the topic. No but not, if the head of the indicting foundation is a regular person in the Sejm. After the complaint to the Ministry of Justice the case is transferred to the prosecutor’s office at the other end of the province. There without any new evidence it is taken.turned into an act of accusation. Contrary to all logic. No and the years go by, where the owner of dogs must fight for her good name. How long will have been 6 years somehow. In the interim sweeps have been done at foundation locations and some dogs have been recovered. The rest of the dogs have not been found, though according to different documents delivered to the act case, they are already dead. We think that someone in the frame of the political quarrels will take under a lupa this concrete issue. Maybe there reads this someone important and acurat interests you. When need I serve signature and not only.
Do you notice, that the problem with unfair activities of “pro-animal” organizations in Poland is growing? Why in your opinion, is this happening?
The question is very retrospective. The problem narrows and this lawfully. But it is hard, that it would be different, because the followers see, that their idols grab huge money on powerful actions, and with that they remain completely unpunished.
When regulations for “taking away” humans animals were created, there was practically only the Society for care over animals. Or otherwise: in a significant majority only the TOZ was concerned with such issues. And had its procedures, hierarchy and places of collection of animals. Today we have an approximately undetermined number of organizations – talks about a thousand, but nobody has properly counted them. Each with the same quasi-authorities. Each without even minimal supervision over itself. And by this method 24-year-old Andzel from an association founded some moments earlier takes the people’s dog after 13 years together, because AndJel knows better, what this dog needs, though it is – as for its age – in incredibly good condition. Of course, Andzela doesn’t have to tell anyone, where this dog is going, when it already has been revealed, that she has no ration. May for that for some years send appeals and complaints, that the case had stayed until the moment, that the dog dies or leaves or disappears in other unexplained circumstances.
Do frequently succeed in recovering animals?
I don’t keep statistics, but in my opinion very rarely. Maybe on one in ten. Much depends on that, which organization is concerned with the capture of the animal. Most still comply with the law, some usually don’t want to be imposed.breaking the law. But there are some that have it here. They have harmed each other for years, spoiling their reputation or exposing the whole environment of animal protection in Poland to charges of theft or burglary. I there again I guess it’s worth reminding, that I don’t have the opportunity to have material data. I know as much, as people report to me. This is some fraction of actual issues of this type in Poland, but for my defense I will add: such data is not possessed also by the Ministry of Agriculture and Development of Villages, which probably oversee the activities of such organizations and the Prosecution, and actually nobody. How it is said: in cloudy water thick fishes swim. And regulations for taking animals to people are extremely cloudy water.
Do you think, that there is sufficient awareness of the activities of pseudo-pet organizations?
I don’t have a clue. I have been shouting for years where only you can, that people should not allow into their homes activists in stupid uniforms. Some of these are shamans, and there is no obligation to let this type of persons into their houses. Permission may be given to the prosecutor, the police, the veterinary inspection, the municipal office or the commissioner. And this is also not always, because every entry somewhere against the will of the owner possession is regulated by relevant regulations. In the case of activists however the simplest logic does not work. They want to enter, so people let them in. Finally they have nothing to hide. They want to take, so people give them away, because they want only good. No a after there is a cry, that Pimp does not return to the home, a their obsessed on the Internet so, that the children are afraid to go out of the home. It doesn’t seem to me, that any thing can influence the wide perception of this. In finally we live in a quite conspicuous country, where people still get on telephone talking or impersonating police asking to take the savings of life. The “na dog” method for long years will still be effective….
What changes to the law, according to you, might restrict the activities of organizations, that abuse the law to the benefit of animal owners?
No and you have. And there we must start a individual conversation, a modern media doesn’t necessarily like that long content. In every time there are some ideas for reducing these pathological actions there are a lot. Mentioning thefirst from the bank: in the process of taking an animal – a situation, when it is necessary, it does happen – there should be participation by at least one sided person. Absurd is, that nobody can on a live see the “taken” animal from this period, from the moment of take to the end of all
proceedings. Experts of the court, prosecutors and the courts themselves must based on reports provided by the
party in dispute, that is e.g. on photographs processed in programs graphics. An obligation to indicate the location ofclaimedanimalswouldbehelpful.Todaywehavea situation,thatanorganizationfromonecountrywould”intervene”attheotherend of it.Thedogtransferstoacloserundefinedplaceandeven thoughallofficialresolutionswereforthebenefitoftheanimal’sowner,thatitdoesnothavetheopportunitytorecoverit,becauseitcannotbemovedbyactivists,thattheyshouldreveal,wheretheyarefindingtheir-moreorlessreal-hometemporary.Bindingthesecurityofthealreadycollectedanimalas”evidenceinthecase”wouldalsobehelpful.Withthisisallthesphereofdreams.Nobodywillraiseeventhemostreasonableproposalinpoliticalcircles,becausefromonwardthelarum,thatthiswillprohibitonefromsavinganimals.Letbe,thatforthatmomentI wouldbe happy,ifanimalswereinallshelters,asylums,hospitalsorotherplacesofmassgatheringwouldhaveto bemandatorymarkedandregisteredinthestatebase.Thiswouldalreadybea small,evena tiny,stepinthe rightdirection….
