The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) announced on Thursday that public consultations on the new program have started. "My electric bike", which will last until July 18. The program provides subsidies for the purchase of new electric bicycles, including electric cargo bicycles and bicycle strollers. The planned budget is PLN 300 million.
Financing of up to 50% is planned. and no more than 5 thousand PLN in the case of electric bicycles and no more than PLN 9,000. PLN in the case of electric cargo bicycles and bicycle strollers – reported the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
The program subsidizing the purchase of electric cars is also continued for another year. That's good, but it's a pity that the fund doesn't have enough money for a program to remove agricultural foils. Last week we informed about it on our website. The Management Board of the National Council of Chambers of Agriculture asked the Ministry of Climate and Environment about this year's edition of the "Removal of agricultural foil and other waste from agricultural activities" program. In response we read:
Currently, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management does not plan to announce another call for applications for 2024 under the Program. Nevertheless, after completing the implementation of projects under the already concluded co-financing agreements, the Fund will assess the need for financial support and consider the advisability of continuing the Program. It should be noted, however, that the launch of the next call for applications will depend on the availability of funds in the budget for the implementation of the Program and the determination of the inflows of funds to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management that can be allocated for this purpose.
In last year's edition of the program, co-financing for the removal of, among others, agricultural foils was entitled to a subsidy up to 100% of eligible costs, provided that the amount of subsidy may not exceed the product of PLN 500 and the weight of agricultural foil waste, net and string for wrapping bales, as well as fertilizer and Big Bag packaging, expressed in mg. or recovered as part of the project. Unfortunately, last year, KRIR pointed out that the subsidy was too small, which resulted in a decrease in the number of municipalities applying for this subsidy, which in turn made it difficult for farmers to effectively dispose of waste. This year the funding was cut to zero. This is a pity, because the need for support in this area is indisputable, especially among farmers engaged in animal production. Meanwhile, the problem of agricultural waste, such as foil and tires, remains in the background.
