The transformation of the former supermarket into a retail park will begin this year and will be carried out in stages. The first stage with an area of over 8,000 m2 will be completed in the third quarter of 2024, the next stages are planned for 2025.
Park Handlowy S1 in Przemyśl will ultimately offer customers approximately 20,000 m2 of sales space. It will be the largest facility of this type in the region and will include, among others: a food operator previously unavailable in the city, as well as tenants, among others: industries such as drugstores, household appliances, pet stores, clothing and discount stores, and a catering operator.
Retail parks instead of hypermarkets
Transforming and modernizing existing facilities as part of commercial functions and meeting the needs of customers of shopping malls and retail parks is just one of the elements of the Saller Group's strategy for the coming months. Another is further dynamic expansion, acquiring attractive locations for commercial properties, also in smaller towns, in order to provide the local community with fast, convenient and economical shopping.
The Saller Group has over 70 commercial facilities in Poland. Several of them are former Tesco hypermarkets that are gaining a new face. One of them is the former Tesco at Majkowska Street in Kalisz, which is to become a retail park. The next one is the former Tesco in Bytom at ul. Chorzowska. It will also gain the format of a retail park.
