The world's most powerful cross-country electric motorcycles have arrived in Estonia

В Эстонию прибыли самые мощные в мире кроссовые электромотоциклы

The largest motorcycle dealership in Estonia, Velt Motocenter, has entered into an agreement with a plant located near Valencia in Spain for the representation rights to the world's most powerful Stark VARG motorcycles. Hanno Velt, motorcycle racer and owner of Velt Motocenter, said the most powerful cross-country motorcycles with internal combustion engines have a maximum output of 60 horsepower, while the electric Stark has 80 horsepower. “Such power is difficult to tame even for the stars of professional motocross, the torque is simply crazy! At the moment, the Stark has the world's best power-to-weight ratio among both traditional motorcycles and electric motorcycles – the engine weighs only 9 kilograms, but transmits 938 Newton meters of torque to the rear wheel. Many world-class experts in their field participated in the development of Stark. We ourselves had the opportunity to test this electric motorcycle in Estonia and Finland, and we believe that motorcyclists will now also start switching to electric ones,” said Welt. “The Stark is essentially the Tesla of motocross: it makes no noise and therefore allows you, unlike a regular motorcycle, to go everywhere, even in places you never dreamed of before. The first Starks ordered by Estonian residents have arrived, customers have already received them, and orders continue to arrive,” added Welt. “It’s clear that electric technology has a future in both hobby and motorsports. Electric motorcycles have a number of advantages – there is no need to change gears, they are unusually quiet and powerful, and, for example, the Stark's power can be electronically limited for safety reasons using an app. The mobile app allows you to customize your bike by adjusting the power curve, engine braking and rear wheel traction. While driving, you can choose from five presets using a switch on the steering wheel – change the power and engine braking. Essentially, the same electric motorcycle can behave like a bike with a 125cc two-stroke engine. cm, and a second later – like a four-stroke bike with a 450 cc engine. cm. At the same time, the electric motor has few moving wearing parts, which avoids the labor-intensive washing of air filters and lubrication, which conventional motocross bikes require very often. There's also no need to change engine oil or pistons, just charge and go,” Welt said. “Although new electric motors and battery technologies appear one after another in motorcycle technology, large manufacturers are in no hurry to talk about any time frame when the age of internal combustion engines will end. We are currently testing various electric city bikes in Estonia, as well as UTVs with larger frames. Electric mopeds and children's ATVs are already in quite high demand,” Welt added. The Stark VARG is equipped with a 6.5 kW battery that lasts up to six hours, depending on settings, riding style and terrain. Full charging takes 1-2 hours. Prices for Stark VARG in Estonia start from 13,000 euros. Read RusDelfi wherever it is convenient for you. Follow us on Facebook, Telegram, Instagram and even TikTok.
