Organic food in Poland is only 0.5%. whole food market
– Botanika Farm has a unique business model, which, on the one hand, involves the production and highly automated processing of organic food for the world's largest food companies. This provides us with constant and predictable cash flows. On the other hand, thanks to our know-how, let us develop an innovative segment of functional food, which, in addition to providing essential nutrients, has beneficial effects on various body functions, documented by clinical studies – comments Rafał Radziszewski, co-founder of Botanika Farm.
Botanika Farm is developing dynamically. Its average annual sales revenue growth over the last 5 years is 112%. Revenues in 2023 amounted to PLN 43.4 million, with net profit of PLN 4.8 million.
The company is the only one in the industry that uses innovative methods, such as micronization of plant seeds, previously used mainly in the pharmaceutical industry. This involves reducing the particle diameter to the order of a micrometer, which increases the bioavailability of nutrients, which makes the ingredients easier to absorb by the body and is characterized by unique sensory properties.
– We intend to use the capital obtained from investors to continue the investment in the production plant in Mietków. Thanks to the investment, we will be able to process raw materials from organic farming into specialized components. The scale of our business will increase dramatically, production capacity will increase from 18 to 50 thousand. tons per year. As a result, we want to exceed PLN 100 million in sales revenues in 2027. We estimate the total investment outlay at approximately PLN 12 million, comments Rafał Radziszewski.
Currently, the company carries out production and research at plants in Oława and Wałbrzych. The plant in Oława has a laboratory enabling, among others, testing of physico-chemical parameters and a warehouse hall with an area of 630 sq m, as well as a production and processing line with an area of 300 sq m. In turn, the plant in Wałbrzych has a fully equipped production line with a potential capacity of 6,000. tons per year and a warehouse with an area of 1,300 sq m.
The functional and organic food market is developing dynamically, and consumer awareness is systematically growing, especially among new generations. Scientific research shows that bioactive substances contained in such food can reduce the risk of many diseases and improve the overall condition of the body. Eating this type of food helps maintain good health and well-being in the long run. Additionally, the new agricultural policy of the European Union for 2023-2027 assumes a significant increase in organic crops and a return to sustainable agriculture, using practices beneficial to the climate and the environment.
– In the coming weeks, with the support of Dom Maklerski INC, we intend to conduct a share offering based on the information memorandum and then debut on NewConnect later this year. However, we treat the small stock exchange as a stopover, we plan to debut on the main market. Immediately after the launch of the campaign, we will start working on an issue prospectus for a large trading floor, announces Rafał Radziszewski.
