A supermarket format store under the Sem Pyatnits XXL trademark was opened by the UniStore Group company, which owns the Sem Pyatnits drink chain and small-scale discounters Unistore Wholesale & Retail. The retailer is also developing the Vozhyk chain, which is represented by convenience stores in the capital and regions.
“Seven Fridays XXL” was opened by the residential complex “Mayak Minska” and is the largest retail facility of the “Seven Fridays XXL” network.
Representatives of the chain claim that they have products on the shelf that are difficult to find in the stores of other grocery chains. In addition to a wide selection of Belarusian goods, customers were offered truffles, chilled trout, crabs, scallops, steaks, craft pastries, sweets of various brands and ready-made dishes.
The chain's representatives have not yet disclosed their plans to develop the Seven Fridays chain in the format of supermarkets. The decision will be made after analyzing the work of the first such store.
The supermarket is located in a building on Francysk Skaryna Street, 9. Retail space is adjacent to a parking lot. The store welcomes guests from Uruchya, Novaya Borovaya, HTP and other areas of the city. The main visitors will be residents of the 10,000-seat Mayak Minsk and the adjacent East.
The “Seven Fridays XXL ” supermarket occupies an area of 1100 sq.m. and is decorated in a loft style. For navigation, there are neon-lit cubes hanging from the ceiling. Near the entrance to the store there is an installation of real wine barrels.
About 8,000 different products were collected on the shelves. First of all, the products of Belarusian manufacturers are widely represented. Many unusual goods were brought from the CIS countries, Europe, America and Southeast Asia.
“This is not just the largest store in our chain, the emphasis is on a unique concept and a wide assortment that stands out even from the rest of our stores. We see XXL as a special supermarket with an exclusive selection of food and drinks that will delight even the most sophisticated customer. Therefore, now we can say for sure that a new point of attraction has appeared in Minsk for those who want to please themselves with high-quality and interesting foods and drinks,” notes Seven Fridays XXL.
In its assortment, the retailer focuses on fish products, semi-finished products (dumplings, gyoza and marinated sets for baking), truffles from Italy, and baked lotus fruits. Swiss sweets, fresh pastries from craft bakeries and ready-made dishes from projects of famous restaurateurs.
Traditionally, there is a wide selection of drinks from all over the world.
Many items have prices below the market, close to prices at Unistore discounters.
The “Seven Fridays XXL” supermarket is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Francysk Skaryna Street, 9. Customers are served by 6 regular cash registers and 4 self-service terminals.
