State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev proposed banning the sale of alcohol within 500 meters of the beaches.
“I would especially note the presence of our citizens intoxicated on the beaches. High temperatures and sun combined with alcohol cause terrible health risks. We must ban the sale of alcohol on the beaches, as well as near the beaches – I propose to set a distance of 500 meters from the beach,” he noted.
Khamzaev also believes that it is necessary to prohibit the sale of all types of alcoholic beverages (including beer) within the boundaries of territories occupied by urban forests, parks, squares and gardens.
“Let me remind you that according to the law, it is prohibited for us to be intoxicated in public places. We must remove the contradictions when it is impossible to be intoxicated, but it is possible to sell,” the deputy emphasized.
