As reported by Radio Poznań, an audit commissioned by the Minister of Agriculture revealed that former WODR directors and their deputies awarded themselves and collected additional bonuses in addition to their salaries for three years. They had no right to do so without the consent of the Minister of Agriculture and thus violated the provisions of the so-called the Chimney Act, which sets limits for remuneration in the public sector.
The current director of WODR, Justyna Winiarska, revealed that the former management of the center from 2020 paid itself a total of PLN 1,350,000 in undue bonuses over 3 years. During this period, the directors of WODR were the late Wiesława Nowak and Jacek Sommerfeld – currently a Poznań district councilor from Law and Justice.
The management of the Wielkopolska ODR notified the prosecutor's office in this case and at the same time called on the former heads of the center to voluntarily return the undue money – Radio Poznań reports.
