Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law providing for an annual indexation of excise taxes on alcohol by 4% in the next three years, writes RBC .

Previously, the document was adopted by the State Duma and approved by the Federation Council. The law makes changes to the Tax Code aimed at improving the tax system of the Russian Federation, including excise taxes.
Thus, excise taxes on ethyl alcohol and alcohol with a strength above 18% in 2025 will amount to 673 rubles. per liter of anhydrous ethyl alcohol contained in excisable goods. Moreover, in 2026 this amount will increase to 700 rubles, in 2027 – to 728 rubles. In the case of drinks with a strength below 18%, the excise tax will be 148 rubles. per liter in 2025, 154 rubles. – in 2026 and 160 rubles. – in 2027. The excise tax on fortified wine will be the same.
In the case of sparkling wines, the excise tax will increase from 125 rubles. in 2025 up to 135 rubles. in 2027. The excise tax on fruit alcoholic products will reach 123 rubles by 2027. per liter of alcohol in a drink. By 2027, the excise tax on grape must will be 43 rubles.
The excise tax on beer, beer drinks, cider, poire and mead has not been revised. Depending on the strength of the drink, by 2027 it will range from 29 to 55 rubles.
