This year, all three mobile operators – SIA Tele2, SIA Latvijas Mobilais telefons (LMT) and SIA Bite Latvija – have announced tariff increases. Some of them also raised their rates last year. Perhaps the increase in tariffs is one of the reasons why the financial performance of mobile operators improved last year – profit and turnover increased for all three. This is the highest revenue level since 2019, over the past three years it has increased by an average of 10% per year. The regulator attributes the growth in revenue mainly to the popularity of mobile services and the fact that the number of end users is growing year after year.
