The State Real Estate Agency Valsts nekustamie Valsts nekustamie īpašumi” (VNĪ) offers to purchase the patrol boat “P-01 Zibens”, being on the balance of the training command of the National armed forces of Latvia, reports agency LETA.The starting price of the boat “P-01 Zibens” at the auction is 25 thousand euros (without tax on added value). Auction Step – – 100 Euros. The Object purchased from the auction must
be paid within two weeks. The Auction will close
on Monday, 13 January, at 13:00. The auction is subject to the condition that the next owner shall transport, clean, and decontaminate the Zibens boat in a safe manner in compliance with regulatory acts. In May 2024 year
the government authorized VNĪ to sell the patrol boat on auction. The
NWS boat has no book value. For a long time Zibens was used to train cadets at the Navy Training Center, but now its technical condition is described as unsatisfactory, and rebuilding the hull is not considered
economically viable, the Real Estate Agency noted. In 2019 year the Ministry of Defense conceptually supported the project of possible raising the security boat from the water and turning it into an object of interest. But because the proposals received
in the competition exceeded the planned budget funding, the project was suspended. Considering the high costs in raising the boat from the water and turning it into an object of interest, and also
