The founders of Sportland, a leading Estonian sports retailer, have split with its main owner, the biggest British sports retailer Sports Direct. A resulting dispute reached the court, writes Äripäev.
Sportland International Group owns Sportland and Sports Direct stores in Estonia. Together with Estonian founders Are Altraja and Anti Kalle she owns the London registered company Frasers Group, formerly Sports Direct International, with annual turnover of 5.5 billion pound sterling.
Sportland and Sports Direct merged in 2013 .
From the Annual Report of Sportland International Group for 2023 financial year followed, that in the last year the company’s sales were 176.09 million euros, and profit – 6.6 million euros. In the same time it is evident that in 2022 the revenue from sales was 164.8 million euros, and profit – 11.1 million euros.
Sportland Group – the international retail group for selling sports and leisure goods, managing the retail stores Sportland, Sportland Outlet, Sportsdirect, USC, Timberland, Adidas and Under Armour in three countries Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
