Let us recall that the PF (Production and Functionality) index is a measure of the breeding value of Polish Holstein-Friesian cattle, encompassing many features, to which breeders have assigned weights according to their importance. It expresses the breeding goal intended for this breed and is the basic selection criterion.
The components of the PF index are production traits (with a weight of 40%), conformation traits (with a weight of 25%), fertility traits (with a weight of 15%), somatic cell count (with a weight of 10%) and longevity traits (with a weight of 10%).

Outstanding economic bulls from the August evaluation
The top three bulls from the August evaluation according to the PF index
According to the results of the August evaluation of the breeding value of Polish Holstein-Friesian bulls, the first place was once again taken by the American bull Vivify, whose PF index is 177. This bull also won first place in the ranking of economic bulls.
His father is the Canadian Royalflush, his dam's father is the American Altaplinko, and his dam's father is the American Crimson.
Second place was again taken by the Canadian bull Pattern, whose PF index is 171. His sire is the American Altazazzle, his dam's sire is the American Challenger, and his dam's sire is the Canadian Imax.
Third place this time went to the Italian bull Rome with a PF index of 171. This bull also won fifth place in the ranking of economic bulls. His sire is the American Altaregulus, his dam's sire is the American Feature, and his dam's sire is the American Achiever.
The next places, from 4th to 10th, were occupied by the following bulls: Uldado, Tustin, Taffy, Dixon, Essence, Shooter and Real Syn.
