The trend of slowing inflation, characteristic of the first half of the year, has ended. In June, inflation reached a low of 2.5 percent. In the future, consumer price growth is expected to accelerate, which is associated with rising food prices on foreign markets and the expected economic recovery. By the end of the year, inflation is projected to rise by more than 4 percent, said Kristjan Pungas, an analyst at the fiscal policy department of the Ministry of Finance.
