Dismissals group at HQ of Adidas
The company, which employs about 5 800 people at HQ, has not confirmed officially the number of dismissals. A spokeswoman for Adidas only stated that the organizational structure of the company is “too complicated in the constantly changing world.”
In last years the director general of the company, Bjoern Gulden, implemented the decentralization process, transferring responsibility from center to local markets, however, he stressed, that the priority is to return to growth before further action in restructuring.
Good performance of Adidas
Adidas announced preliminary results for 2024 year, showing 11% growth in sales and operating profits of 1.34 billion euros. Despite this, the decision on releases sheds a shadow on the future of the company in the context of increasing competition and difficulties in the industry.
The releases issue was described by Reuters.
