Empik will replace Warszawianka

"Warszawianka" belonged to Polski Dom Książki, which in turn has been part of the Empik Group since 2020. Now, as a result of the current merger of companies, the bookstore will change its name and join the Empik chain of stores.

Shop with a total area of 178 sq m. will undergo a thorough renovation and will reopen in a completely new version to Warsaw in the 4th quarter of this year.

– The purpose of this premises has always been a bookstore and we will be able to continue this tradition that is close to us. It was in Warsaw that we took our first steps as the International Press and Book Club over 75 years ago. The opening of Empik at Senatorska Street is also part of the consistently implemented expansion strategy in street locations – says Grzegorz Urban, Head of Leasing & Expansion at Empik.

The new Empik Plac Bankowy showroom at 40 Senatorska Street will be opened at the turn of October and November 2024.
