The employee share ownership program was introduced at Auchan in 1977 by the company's founder, Gerard Mulliez, and is currently used by over 96% of all eligible employees in Poland. Joining the program is preceded by participation in training to understand the idea of employee shareholding and company economics, including basic concepts such as turnover, margin, costs and profit.

In 2022, we implemented the Employee Referral Program as an internal tool aimed at building teams and supporting the recruitment process by our employees. As part of the program, we encourage you to recommend candidates for work with us in exchange for a bonus of PLN 1,400. Thanks to the program, we build teams that know each other and support each other. Auchan wants to create a place where employees can fulfill themselves and build their careers.
– We provide support in determining career paths and professional development of employees, offering, among others: professional records, career paths and a wide selection of training courses. We carry out activities to build the Auchan brand as an attractive employer among potential candidates – informs the company.

Auchan Polska recorded an increase in revenues by less than 3% in 2023. The chain closed the year with a net profit of PLN 73 million, and the company's operating profit amounted to PLN 215 million.

The hypermarket chain dismissed 634 people in Poland
The company manages a network of 106 own stores in Poland: 70 hypermarkets and 35 supermarkets, as well as an autonomous Auchan GO store. In addition, the chain cooperates with 25 franchise stores and 74 convenience stores under the Easy Auchan brand in partnership with bp. Auchan Polska is part of the Auchan Retail network present in 13 countries.
The average employment in 2023 is 17,381 employees, including 14,176 in blue-collar positions (18,015 employees in 2022).
