According to new amendments to the law “On the use of cash register equipment…”, from March 1, 2025, the service will promptly receive information from the Federal Tax Service about new market participants, including the registration address of the cash register and data on the first check. These changes were developed by the Ministry of Finance at the initiative of Rospotrebnadzor.
“The goal is to consolidate the right of tax authorities to transfer to Rospotrebnadzor information about the address and place of use of cash register equipment by the user, as well as the date of generation of the first cash receipt. This is necessary in order to receive reliable information about the beginning of the activities of such objects. Now not all legal entities and individual entrepreneurs fulfill their obligation to notify Rospotrebnadzor about this,” the press service of the federal service said.
The press service of the Ministry of Finance noted that this measure will prevent violations that are associated with the start of the activities of organizations. Cash receipts contain a lot of information. Thus, Rospotrebnadzor can obtain information about the name of the company, TIN, place and time of payment, full name of the cashier, name of the product and much more.
According to the current rules, catering establishments, retail trade, and food production are required to independently notify the supervisory service about the start of work. The regulator enters this information into the register of the same name. Based on this list, before the introduction of the moratorium in 2022, Rospotrebnadzor compiled annual schedules for scheduled inspections. Next, the register data was taken into account when determining the risk category of enterprises.
