According to the head of Bigbank Eesti and active small investor Jonna Pechter, over the next year the interbank interest rate Euribor, associated with housing loans in Estonia, could fall below 3% and reach 2.75% by the end of 2025, writes Rus.ERR .

According to Pechter, the European Central Bank's decision to cut interest rates in June took six months, but at least now everything is moving in the right direction, the press service of Bigbank Eesti reported.

“If you look at the prevailing expectations in the financial market, there may be several more decisions to cut rates in the next year or two,” Pechter said.

“According to some forecasts, by the end of next year interest rates may even fall below 2.5%, but I do not share this optimism – we may end up at this level a year later. Of course, we all hope that debt will become cheaper, but I still prefer to make my investment decisions based on more conservative forecasts,” Pechter said, emphasizing that this is her personal opinion and she does not encourage others to follow it.
