The exercises were aimed at checking the effectiveness of the services' activities in order to respond in the best possible way in crisis situations. Participation in the Sokrates-24 exercise is an important experience for us, which allowed us to participate in testing and improving crisis procedures. It is very important that the initiative allowed us to practice cooperation with other services. Thanks to this, we can be even better prepared for possible emergency situations – says Leszek Bitner, director of the Network Asset Management Division at Stoen Operator.
During the exercises, the Warsaw distribution system operator (DSO) was responsible for the supply of critical infrastructure facilities.
A brigade of company employees delegated to take part in the event carried out the tasks provided for in the prepared scenarios.

Safety is a priority for city services
The event took place on the premises of the facilities managed by the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company, at ul. Koszykowa and ul. Lapwings. It was attended by representatives of the police, city guard, Polish Army and government. The exercises were observed by the mayor's services. Warsaw and other entities authorized to do so, including: representatives of the Government Center for Security.
Stoen Operator, as a DSO, supplies energy to almost 2 million inhabitants of Warsaw and the surrounding area. As part of its activities, it also plays a strategic role in securing the capital's critical infrastructure.
It ensures efficient and safe distribution of electricity not only to individual customers, but also to key public facilities, government institutions and municipal services. Participation in exercises such as Socrates-24 is essential to strengthen the company's readiness to respond to potential crisis situations as effectively as possible.
