Today, January 27, Valio reported in a press release, that through an investigation it has become clear that the leak of data is more widespread than previously expected.
According to the latest information, the criminals received the personal data of about 70,000 current and former employees from the Pension Insurance Fund. The hackers also acquired a limited amount of Valio’s financial information, which contains and personal data.
In a published press release, the company apologized for the incident.
The leak was reported to the Office of the Commissioner of Data Protection, Traficom’s Center forCybersecurityandtheFinancialSurveillance Authority.
