Another chain of sports clothing and footwear stores in trouble
Active is a brand of sports stores offering clothing and footwear from brands such as adidas, Nike, Puma and Reebok. The company also runs an online store. According to data from the company's website, the company had stores in many large shopping centers, including: in the Focus Mall shopping center in Piotrków Trybunalski or the Posnania shopping center. According to the company's website, there were a total of seven such points.
ACTIVE MG started operating in the sports industry in 1998. It was then that the first stationary store was opened in the center of Kielce. The company started selling online in 2008.
In the 2022 financial year, ACTIVE MG achieved net revenues from the sale of goods of PLN 9.8 million, while incurring a loss on sales of PLN 6.3 million. Compared to 2021, sales revenues decreased by approximately 57.7%. The company's net loss for 2022 amounted to PLN 7 million.
Analyzes conducted by the Central Economic Information Center show that in the first quarter of 2024, 112 company bankruptcies were published in the Court and Economic Monitor and the National Register of Debtors.
When it comes to sectors of the economy, most proceedings concern entities dealing with industrial processing – 20.54% and trade – 16.96%.
