Comparing the month of June 2024 to May this year. the average price of materials has not changed, but this is the peak construction season. During this period, prices of building materials usually increase rather than stagnate.

PSB experts, analyzing the data cumulatively (for the period January-June 2024 to 2023), found that the price dynamics of construction materials remains at a record low level of minus 2.7%.

Commodity prices in June 2024, compared to June 2023, increased in 6 commodity groups: cement, lime (+4%), OSB boards, wood (+3%), paints, varnishes (+2%), walls, chimneys (+1%), automotive (+0.4%) and house surroundings (+0.3%). Prices dropped in 14 categories. Prices dropped to 1% in the following groups: construction chemicals, joinery and equipment, and household appliances. In the subsequent groups, the declines were as follows: installations, heating, thermal insulation, tiles, bathrooms, kitchens and lighting, electricity (-2% each), tools, waterproofing and decorations (-3% each), garden and hobbies (-4% each) ), drywall (-5%) and finishing (-6%). The largest decline occurred in the roofs and gutters category (-7%).

Prices increased by up to 1% in the following groups: house surroundings, installations, heating, cement, lime, joinery, walls, chimneys, paints, varnishes, tools, waterproofing, lighting, electricity and garden, hobby. Prices dropped to 1% in 9 groups: tiles, bathrooms, kitchens, automotive, decorations, finishing, furnishings, household appliances, construction chemicals, dry construction, roofs, gutters and thermal insulation.
