After transforming from a public company into a private enterprise the railroad operator Operail has resumed transporting cargo from Russia, from which two years ago
the government requested, reports Äripäev.
From the beginning of this year Operail is freshly transporting palm oil to Baltic Oil Service to Paldiski. For the last two years this client has been served by Latvian state state railroad company LDZ, since they, different from Operail, were not subject to the prohibition on transportation from Russia.
Now that Operail is privatized and the government prohibition on such transportation is no longer in effect, the company is able to participate in the tender, organized Baltic Oil Oil Service for transportation in 2025 year, saidVyacheslavSpirinin an interview withDripäev.
